There may be no dearth for comedy in Sundar C films. Except this Sundar C had earlier directed full length comedy films comparable to Ullathai Allitha, Unakkaga Ellam Unakkaga and Winner.

For the primary time Santhanam had joined hands with Sundar C in Kalakalappu. Vimal, Mirchi Shiva, Anjali and Oviya were within the cast. There have been quite a lot of expectations because it is a full length comedy film directed by Sundar C after a very long time. This film turned out to be a great duper hit within the world.

G Dhananjayan who's the Chief- South Business of UTV Movies while speaking said, "I'M really happy that Kalakalappu is a smart success. We will be able to be increasing the theatres from 18th of this month throughout Tamil Nadu. We're planning to provide Part 2 of Kalakalappu with the similar cast and crew."
