Many actresses were reluctant to don the vulgar role within the film The Dirty Picture but Vidhya Balan donned that role and feature also bagged the National Award.

Only after this other actresses felt bad for refusing this role. After The Dirty Picture, Vidya Balan donned the feminine lead role within the film titled Kahaani.

She donned the role of a pregnant woman inside the film. Actress Anushka had earlier mentioned that if Kahaani is to be remade in Tamil and Telugu she is able to don Vidhya Balan’s role.

At this juncture Anushka have been signed for the feminine lead role within the Telugu remake of Kahaani. The production house has selected her because this role is tailor made for her.
