Director Rajesh while speaking about this film said, "This film can also be a comedy film like my earlier films. Now I'M busy with the script of this film. I'M yet to choose concerning the heroine but producer Gnanavel Raja has suggested that it'd be better to cast Kajal Agarwal as heroine. She had earlier paired with Karthi in Naan Mahan Alla. Excluding this she is a humorous girl in nature. After completing the works associated with the tale I'LL BE approaching her."
