Neerkumili is a movie which had the late famous actor Nagesh within the lead role. This film which was released within the year 1965 was directed by ace director K Balachandar. The song Aadi Adangum Vazhkai of this film was very talked-about those days.

Neerkumili is being remade now. Vivek may be donning the role which Nagesh donned. Selva is directing this remake film. He had earlier directed the film Naan Avan Illai which was also a remake of the yester year film which had Gemini Ganesh within the lead role.
Director Selva while speaking said, " I'M remaking old films as a way to cause them to know to the more youthful generations about these famous films. The remake films will give them a brand new experience. I'M very desperate to direct the remake of Neerkumili. Vivek will don the lead role. Talks are going to obtain the remake rights."
