Akshay Kumar will don the lead role on this film which provides importance to action. Director Murugadoss while talking to the media said, "FOR THE REASON THAT story happens in Mumbai, the Hindi audience will enjoy it greatly.
We are speaking with Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif for the feminine lead role. If she has the dates, there are chances for her to pair with Akshay Kumar. 60% shooting of the Tamil film Thuppakki is over. We've planned to shoot the song sequences and the talkie portions. The shooting of the Hindi version of Thuppakki will commence throughout the month of August."
