Arya was signed for the role which Imran Khan had donned in Hindi. Santhanam can be donning the role which Veer Doss did in Delhi Belly and similarly Premji Amaran may be donning the role of Roy Kapoor.
Hansika was signed for the heroine role. Kannan who had earlier directed films like Jayamkondan and Kandein Kadhalai could be directing this film. There's much importance for dialogues on this film.John Mahendran has penned the dialogues for this remake film. John had earlier directed the Tamil film Sachin. Dhananjayan of UTV has mentioned, " We've changed the screenplay to fit the Tamil audience. John Mahendran has written the dialogues in an excessively comical way.
