Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan starred film to be re-released

Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan are probably the most celebrated stars of this generation. They've been good competitors and really close friends ever since they started acting simultaneously.

In spite of being good competitors, they have got acted together in few films like ‘Apoorva Raagangal’ (Rajinikanth’s debut film), ‘16 Vaydhinilae’, ‘Avargal’ and lots of more films.

‘Ninaithale Inikkum’ featured Kamal Hassan, Rajnikanth, Jayapradha, Geetha, Nakul, Sarath Babu, S.Ve.Shekhar (debutant), Jayasudha, Subhashini (debutant and sister of Jayasudha), Geetha and Narayana Rao. It was directed by K.Balachander, Guru (mentor) of a number of the above mentioned artists.

M.S.Viswanathan scored the Music of this film. It was released on 14th April, 1979 during Tamil New Year and have become a great duper hit. It had many super hit songs like ‘Namma Ooru Singari’, ‘Nizhal Kandavan’, ‘Ninaiththaale Inikkum’, ‘Palavanna’, ‘Aananda Thaandavamo’, ‘Barathi Kannamma’, ‘Inimai Nirainda Ulagam’, ‘Kaaththirunthen’, ‘Sambo Sivasambo’, ‘Thattiketka Aalillai’, ‘Yaathum Oore’ and ‘Engeyum Eppodhum’.

‘Ninaithale Inikkum’ is little more special. As this was the last film that featured Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan together for the last time. After that, despite repeated attempts by many people, they didn't act together.
