This film was according to the lifetime of the late actress Silk Smitha. Many production houses were seeking to acquire the remake rights but Ekta Kapoor who produced Dirty Picture refused to part away with the remake rights. Now Ekta Kapoor herself has decided to provide the Tamil and Telugu remake of this film. Anushka who's the leading actress in Tamil and Telugu film industries can be donning the role which Vidhya Balan donned in Dirty Picture. Let’s be patient who the hero is.
