There is information that Anushka has refused to behave in a Tamil remake of a Hindi film. South Indian popular actress is currently acting within the Tamil film Erandam Ulagam. This film that is being directed by Selvaraghavan has Arya within the lead role.

The Hindi film Dirty Picture which had Vidhya Balan within the lead role is being remade in Tamil now. Anushka was approached by the production house to don the role which Vidhya Balan donned in Hindi but Anushka didn't accept the role.Anushka could also be currently acting in Karthi starrer Alex Pandian and Vikram starrer Thandavam.It is very important to notice that the Bollywood film Dirty Picture won the National Award within the best film category.
