She said, "While I USED TO BE acting in Mayakkam Enna and Osthi, I got the offer to behave in Mankatha directed by Venkat Prabhu. I USED TO BE in a situation that I COULDN'T accept it. Venkat Prabhu who understood this said that we will be able to join hands in another film.

In between I USED TO BE busy acting in other language films and due to this I USED TO BE unable to simply accept Tamil films. Venkat Prabhu recently approached me to behave in his film Biryani. I DIDN'T wish to lose this chance. I immediately gave my nod.

Normally there'll be importance for heroes in Venkat Prabhu’s films but on this film there's importance for the heroine. The shooting of this film can be commencing by end of this month. Young actors are very talented at the present time. In that way Karthi is within the first place. I'M more than pleased that i'm pairing with him in Biryani. Similarly I'M also interested to behave with Surya. I'VE reduced my weight to behave on this film."
