Actress Jyothirmayi has acted in Tamil films Thalainagaram, Periyar and Naan Avan Illai. She had married Harikumar in 2004 before acting in Thalainagaram but she didn't disclose this matter and thanks to this no person in Kollywood knew about her marriage.

After release of this film, she herself announced about her marriage in a press meet and due to this she didn't get offers. In a while on account of difference of opinion either one of them filed divorce suit within the Court.
Last year the Court granted the divorce. Jyothirmayi, after her divorce didn't act in any films. Now she is back to behave. She is looking for offers in Tamil and Malayalam film industries. She is concerned about donning sister and sister-in-law roles. She has started paying attention to stories. In between she has also agreed to host a programme in a Malayalam TV channel.
