Many are asking me that how I got this idea. Shankar and that i were going abroad for shooting of the song sequence ‘Oru Koodai Sunlight’ for Rajni starrer Sivaji. I happened to read the National Geographic Magazine.

There was a narrative in regards to the birth of conjoined twins in Thailand in that magazine. There has been a flash in my mind. After I came back to India, I BEGAN looking for such roughly twins. I got surprising details about these twins. With this I wove the tale of Maatran. One among them has positive thoughts while the opposite one has crooked thoughts.

In real life also, there are twins like these. There are two minds in a body. Surya has done an unbelievable job on this film. He has put all his efforts on this film which he has imagined to do in three films. I told him the tale throughout the Ayan days itself. He listened to the tale. When I completed Ko, he asked me whether we will be able to take the twins story within the hands.

We immediately started after doing numerous homework. The names of the twins Surya are Akilan and Vimalan. Vimalan is a great boy. He'll write poems. He helps others and eats vadais. He'll not tell lies. Akilan is direct opposite to him. He's going to speak English, Pizza party and dating youngster. If Vimalan is a superb boy, Akilan is a play boy. Surya has wonderful performance can also be seen on this film. There's no separate comedian on this film. Surya is answerable for this."
