UTV Movies had earlier announced that they are going to be releasing the movies Vazhakku En 18/9 and Kumki produced by Tirupathi Brothers. Now UTV has pop out of those projects.

When asked Dhananjayan who's Chief- South Business of UTV Movies about this he said, "We jointly worked with interest for the film Vettai in production in addition to distributions. This film was successful and yielded good profits. We spoke to Tirupathi Brothers and told them that it'd be appropriate in the event that they released these small budgeted films like Vazhakku En 18/9 and Kumki. There's no misunderstanding between us. We would like them that both these pictures must be a perfect success."

Vazhakku En 18/9 which was directed by Balaji Sakthivel has all new faces within the cast. Kumki is a movie which has Prabhu’s son Vikram Prabhu within the lead role. This film is being directed by Prabhu Solomon."
