After Kadhal she continued to behave within the film titled Peranmai. Now she has acted in a movie titled Mazhai Kaalam. This film is to hit the screens soon. This film is predicated on an actual incident that has taken place in Fine Arts College.

New face Sriram and ‘Kadhal’ Saranya are within the lead roles on this film. Deepan has directed this film. This film was certified with a U certificate by the Censor Board members. They've also mentioned that this film has given an even message to the society. As per the story, Saranya has to pose in nude while the hero will paint her portrait.

Director Deepan had already mentioned this to Saranya and told her that it will look realistic if she poses in nude. It's understood that Saranya has agreed for this for the reason that story demanded it.

Saranya while speaking about this said, "The director told me that I NEED TO pose in nude because the story demanded it. So that you could act in that sequence, a skin dress was readied at a value of Rs 36 thousands. I wore this dress and acted within the sequence. The duration of this sequence on this film is set 3 minutes. I acted an entire night.

I was not startled or nervous. The sequence was not shot secretly. The director, cinematographer and other technicians were present when this sequence was shot. There is not any vulgarity or obscene on this sequence and that's the reason the Censor Board has awarded this film with a U certificate."
