Director Vetrimaaran says that Nayanthara isn't joining hands with Simbhu. Vada Chennai is a movie which has Simbhu within the lead and is being directed by the award winning director Vetrimaaran who had earlier directed Aadukalam.

Andrea is pairing with Simbhu on this film. The director is searching for another heroine. There has been news in Kodambakkam that Nayanthara was signed for this film. Vetrimaaran has denied this news.
He said, "I had not approached Nayanthara to pair with Simbhu in Vada Chennai. A lot of these news are mere rumours."
