Thamanna in truth was introduced through a Bollywood film titled Chand Sa Roshan Chehra. After this she didn't continue to behave in Hindi films.

She started concentrating in Tamil and Telugu films and have become primary actress in South India. Even now she is acting in three Telugu films.

Apart from this she is going to even be acting in Tamil films this year. Talks are happening along with her regard to this. At this juncture she is getting quite a lot of offers from Bollywood but Thamanna isn't accepting them.

Even recently she got a possibility to pair with Ajay Devgan, however the actress has refused it. Thamanna’s father while speaking about this said, "Thamanna has got four offers in Hindi.

She refused the entire offers because she may be very busy in Telugu films. Thamanna isn't interested to behave in Hindi films. Now she is showing keen interest in Tamil films.

The cause of that is that there has been an extended gap in Tamil films. The last film she acted in Tamil was Vengai which had Dhanush within the lead role. After this she has not acted in any Tamil films because she didn't get suitable roles."
