Pandit Birju Maharaj is teaching Kathak Dance to Kamal for this film. Birju was asked to rate today’s Heroines on their dancing ability. Birju Ji wittingly commented that, "Just the opposite day, I USED TO BE watching Katrina Kaif on TV. Usko naachna nahi, hilna bolte hai (We don’t call it dancing, it’s shaking)!

Today’s heroines don't have any personality and can’t carry a dance all alone shoulders. They're nowhere within the same league as Waheeda Rehman or Meena Kumari and think that whatever they do is the proper thing."

This Legend has earlier worked within the movies like ‘Shatranj Ke Khiladi’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ and ‘Devdas’. Birju Maharaj later said that, "It was a pleasure to work with Madhuri Dixit, who attended my workshops twice. She has no ego hassles or even after a dance sequence was Okayed, she asked for suggestions. I AM GETTING many offers to choreograph for films, but turn most of them down. Recently, I taught Kamal Haasan a couple of Kathak steps for his film ‘Viswaroobam’. He's an excessively eager learner."
