Ponmaalai Pozhudhu is a movie which has Aadhav within the lead role. Aadhav is the grandson of late poet laureate Kannadasan. The audio CD of this film was launched at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai recently.

Kamal Haasan released the audio CD which was received by lyricist Vairamuthu. Kamal Haasan speaking in this occasion said, "Had the hero’s father Kalaivanan Kannadasan was alive, he would has been the producer of this film or a lyricist.
Kalaivanan use to have an excellent sense of humour. His son Aadhav Kannadasan also has the sense of humour like his father. I'VE touched Kannadasan. I'VE also touched the feet of Periyar. We actors know that the applause of the audience is the nice strength. The audience should give the similar applause given to us to this film’s hero Aadhav."Directors A R Murugadoss, Pandiraj, ‘Engeyum Eppodhum’ Saravanan, G N R Kumaravelan, actors Shanthnoo, Vishnu, Prithvi Pandiarajan, Kishore, Aadhav Kannadasan, actress Gayathri, lyricists Madhan Karky, Karthik Mehta and music composer Sathya participated on this function. Director A C Durai thanked the collection.
