The director felt that Trisha will be the appropriate actress to pair with Mohanlal but Trisha didn't agree for this. Sources as regards to Trisha say, " Trisha is getting a number of offers in Malayalam but she is busy acting in other language films.
That is the explanation she was unable to present call sheet for Mohanlal’s film. Trisha is currently acting in four Tamil films. Now she has no time to behave in Malayalam films.The crew members give us a special version. Some of the crew member said, "ONCE WE approached Trisha for her call sheet she demanded a salary of Rs 40 Lakhs. She refused to cut back her salary. Malayalam film industry has very small market and hence we won't pay excessive salary to heroines."
