It was expected that Rajan Pillai will direct the Tamil remake of this film as a way to have Kamal within the lead role. But Kamal became busy in his other films and hence he quit from acting within the remake of this film.
Now the remake of the Traffic in Tamil has commenced. Shaheed Kader might be directing this film. Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Cheran, Nasar, Prasanna, Parvathy, Rohini and Radhika Sarathkumar might be starring on this film. Rajan Pillai was unable to direct this film in Tamil because there has been inordinate delay. He's now remaking this film in Hindi which has Ajay Devgan within the lead role.
