Samantha quits Shankar’s I

Samantha has decided to quit I to be directed by Shankar like how she quit Manirathnam’s film Kadal.

Karthik’s son Gowtham is making his debut as hero through this film. Samantha was pairing with him.

She quit the film at a time when the primary schedule shooting of this film was completed.

Samantha explained that she quit this film on account of her call sheet problems but sources just about Manirathnam say that she was ousted out of this film because she looked very elderly to the hero.

At this juncture, Samantha was selected by Shankar for his film I which has Vikram within the lead role. Now there's news that she's going to be quitting this film also.

Samantha is now taking treatment for her skin problems. It's understood that her doctor has advised that sunlight and heavy lighting cannot fall on her skin. The shooting of I is to commence soon.

She is meant to present 30 days’ continuous call sheet for this film. Samantha feels that this may occasionally affect her treatment and due to this she's going to be quitting this film.

Shankar has now gone to China for scouting locations. Hence he was unable to be contacted however it seems that he's looking for a brand new Bollywood heroine for his film.
