When asked director Magill Thirumeni whether Tamil films are copied from English films, he said, "Currently there's a great change in Tamil cinema with reference to script and technical matters.

There is lots of growth. There have been days when audience use to enjoy only love stories. This has changed now.

That is the explanation that films like Paruthiveeran and Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya were a really perfect success. My action thriller film Thadaiyara Thaakka is doing really well on the box office.

My next film may also be an action thriller film so that it will have the tale of CB- CID police officer. I'M readying the script. All individuals who can be acting on this film may be new faces.

Many are asking that whether Tamil films are being copied from foreign films. These days’ Tamil films are on par with Hollywood films. So there is not any question of copying. Technology has improved such a lot.

We can notice this while we watch other language films and foreign films. Kollywood directors are so talented that they may be able to direct Hollywood films."
