Lal, Swetha Menon, Asif Ali, Baburaj and Maithili have acted on this film. Prakash Raj had acquired the remake rights of this film. At this juncture, there has been a chat that who might be directing this film. Prakash Raj has mentioned that he himself might be directing this film.
He while speaking said, "I'M acting and directing this remake film in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages. I'M directing this film after Dhoni. In Tamil I'VE titled this film as Un Samayal Arayil while in Telugu I'VE titled as Ulavacharu Biryani. The tagline of this film may be ‘Love is cooking’. Tabu is pairing with me. Ilayaraja is composing music for this film."
