Actor Dhanush was reported of getting injured on his shoulder and spine while shooting for the Hindi film Raanjhnaa starring Sonam Kapoor alongside him in female lead. The film has musical composition by AR Rahman.

The actor was undergoing treatment in hospital and is now back ameliorating together with his medical conditions. The actor has now flown right down to Nagarkovil, where he's shooting for the general schedule of Mariyaan.
Set in backdrops of fisherman community, the film is directed by Vande Maataram album fame Bharath Bala and again has musical score by AR Rahman. The film’s shooting will come to an end soon and can have the theatrical release somewhere in February-March 2013. Poo fame Parvathy stars opposite Dhanush in female lead role.
