 This film was not a really perfect success on the box office despite the recognition of Kolaveri song, Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruthi’s acting and Rajnikanth’s daughter Aishwarya directing. Producer Natty Kumar who had acquired the Telugu rights of this film incurred a heavy loss.

He said, "Dhanush’s market in Telugu is Rs 10 Lakhs but I acquired the rights of this film for Rs 4.3 Crores keeping in mind that that is Rajnikanth’s family film and the recognition of Kolaveri song. A lot of my friends warned me to not acquire this film on the price.

When the film Kuselan film flopped, Rajni came forward to compensate the losses incurred by the distributors. Now Rajni has contacted Natty Kumar and has mentioned that he'll compensate the losses he incurred by releasing the film 3.

Cinematographer R D Rajashekar who's handling the camera for this film said, "WE WILL say Ajith is a king in scintillating expressive acting. I had already worked with him in film Red. That is my second film with him.

Right from those days till now he has not changed somewhat. He has the similar affection. He's my sweet friend. This film will take him many steps ahead in his career. The tale of this film is set how a regular David becomes Billa. Since Ajith knows photography, he's going to keenly watch the lens I'M using and act accordingly.

He has depicted his body language in an excessively wonderful way on this film. The audience can feel this once they watch this film. There are two heroines on this film. One is Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah. Vidyut Jamwal has donned the villain role. Everyone has brought out their acting skills. Shooting the climax sequences was very challenging.

We have shot this climax scene in Georgia where the temperature was minus 16 degrees. We used six cameras and 3 helicopters to shoot these sequences. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed five songs for this film. We have now shot all of the songs in several locations. Since Chakri Toleti has worked in Hollywood films, he has mixed beauty and reality within the right proportions in all the frames."

You are continually pairing with Vimal?

What is incorrect in that? We both paired in Kazhavani and that film turned out to be an excellent hit. On account of these sentiments I'M pairing with him again within the film Sillunu Oru Sandhippu and Masala Cafe. In Masala Cafe I'M pairing with Shiva. Shiva is donning the role of Shiva’s brother.

Will you act in heroine oriented stories?

I am currently acting in a movie directed by Naveen. The tale of this film happens overnight. There's importance for me and comedy on this film. Jayaprakash and Anupama Kumar are donning the jobs of my parents. In line with the story, our family is a small one along with a younger sister and brother. Some thieves enter our house. What happens at the moment? What do they steal? What has happened to us? Most of these are narrated in a fascinating comical way. This film could be a whole length comedy one.

Was there quarrel with Anjali?

Kindly change your narrow mindedness that there'll be quarrel if two heroines share the screen in a movie. I'VE already shared the screen with many heroines. I'M sharing the screen with Deepa Shah in Sillunu Oru Sandhippu and with Anjali in Masala Cafe. We haven't fought even a single day. Anjali and i've become very close friends. I used to name her’ Darling baby’ and he or she used to name me in whatever words that comes out of her mouth.

Are you not acting in other language films?

I'VE acted in Malayalam and Kannada language films. Now I have a Telugu film in my hand. I HAVE NEVER accepted any new film in Malayalam. Since I'M concentrating in Tamil films, I'VE vacated my house in Trichur. Now I'M staying in a rented apartment in Thiruvanmiyur but that is temporary. My mother isn't well. She is taking treatment in a personal hospital located in Thousand Lights. I'M caring for her in addition to my cinema career. Once my mother recovers, I CAN vacate my Thiruvanmiyur flat.
