Thalapathi Part 2 is being produced: Rajnikanth within the lead role

Thalapathi is a movie which had Rajnikanth and Mammootty within the cast. This film which was released 1991 was directed by Manirathnam.

 

Ilayaraja had composed music for this film. This film was a super hit and yielded huge profits. Leading actors like Aravind Swamy, Jai Shankar, Shobana, Bhanupriya and Sri Vidhya have also acted on this film.

The songs Raakamma Kaiyathattu, Kaatukuyilu, Chinna Thayaval and Sundari Kannal of Thalapathi rocked every nook and corner of the country.

Now Manirathnam has decided to make Part 2 of this film. Rajnikanth could also be acting on this film. Selection for the opposite cast and crew goes on.

Rajni and Manirathnam recently met and spoke about this subject. The screenplay work is occurring in top gear. The official announcement regarding this may increasingly be made very soon.

The shooting of the film Kochadaiyaan which has Rajnikanth and Deepika Padukone within the lead roles is over. Post production work of this film is occurring. The shooting of Thalapathi Part 2 will commence once this film is released.
