Producer Sashikanth while speaking about this said, "We had produced the film Kadhalil Sodhapuvadhu Yeppadi. This film was an ideal success in Tamil and Telugu languages. At this juncture we were stunned after we saw that Hindi film Vicky Donor.
They have made this film in a special style. We had decided to remake this film. This film might be remade to fit the South Indian audience. We approached for the remake rights. Though this film is a controversial one, we can be producing this film so as to suit the Tamil and Telugu audience."
